2. HubSpot

Hubspot not only creates its own marketing training program, but it passes on its knowledge through its posts. Hubspot provides easy steps to take to improve your  media presence. 5. Peter Shankman

Peter Shankman is a stretch from the media theme, but we can’t pass up his personality and humor. Shankman has posts about business, content, and more importantly, how it all relates to what is going on in the world around us. Read Peter Shankman for some humorous insight into business, customer service, and what the world means (according to him, of course).

6. Bad Pitch

Bad Pitch is my personal favorite. The blog takes a look at PR and similar marketing campaigns and uncovers what was done wrong or what can be learned and applied to future marketing endeavors. With a focus directly on marketing pitches, a lot can be learned for presentation and promotion of campaigns: “Your media list may be solid, but if your pitch is ham-fisted it doesn’t matter. ”

7. ProBlogger

ProBlogger markets itself as a teaching tool for other sites to learn how to generate income. It covers all spectrum of blogging and social posting. Our favorite: “Setting Goals: Why You Need Them and How to Write Them.”

8. Mashable

Mashable is a site to read for media masters to gain more real-world information and application. Mashable has posts dedicated to pop-culture and the Internet sphere, as well as how your social posting is influenced by the ever-changing world. For example: want to know what’s going on with the looming Twitter and Google deal? Check out Mashable to keep up with the drama and changes.

9. Soshable

Soshable is a current and straight forward page dedicated to improving social output and how it directly changes businesses. With posts about small business marketing, marketing strategies, and ROI through media, there is something for everyone to learn.

10. NPTechforGood

NP Tech for Good is the tell-all site for non-profit organizations. It covers topics from Twitter to Facebook, to content distribution and fundraising practices. Media tips and practices can often apply to all spectrum of businesses, but having a focus on non-profits helps to raise the bar for the companies that fall under that umbrella.

11. Suite 4

Of course, we can not forget our own. We are posting three to five times a week, focusing specifically on marketing endeavors for small businesses. Interested in other ways to grow your social presence? Read on, or request a free consultation.
