3 Easy Ways To Increase Your Facebook Likes For Free

Knowing where to draw the line between growing your Facebook page fan base and getting them engaged can often be a confusing area for many people. I often hear horror stories about businesses spending too much money to increase their Facebook page Likes. On the flip side, some businesses are afraid to spend any money at all on Facebook ads because they don’t understand how the bidding process works or they’ve had poor success in the past and don’t want to waste their time and money on something that doesn’t work.

Growing your Facebook page is important. Getting engagement is even more important, but you can’t get engagement if you don’t have any fans. So below are 3 easy ways to grow your “Likes” for free. It’s always a good idea to utilize Facebook ads to increase fan engagement (and you don’t need to spend a lot of money doing it), but there’s no reason why you can’t get people to Like your page at no cost. So let’s talk about growing your fan base first. Then we’ll follow this up with a tutorial on how to get ’em engaged.

Increase Your Facebook Likes

HERE ARE 3 EASY TIPS TO HELP YOU INCREASE YOUR FACEBOOK LIKES:

Tip #1: Add a Facebook button to your email newsletter. You should be sending out an e-newsletter at least once a month – at least. Email marketing is still one of the most effective forms of marketing out there. The caveat is that you have to get people to open your emails with an interesting subject line AND offer valuable tips once you’ve got them inside the email (but that’s a blog topic for a different day).

In your e-newsletter template, add a Facebook button and encourage people to go Like you on Facebook. It’s also helpful to run a contest and give them a GOOD reason to go like you (like a giveaway or special discount, etc.). If you need to see a good example of this, check out Redbox’s Facebook page.

Tip #2: Add a Facebook Like Box to your website. If you have a WordPress website, you can get the Facebook Like Box Widget at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/facebook-like-box-widget/. Otherwise, your web developer can add this usually in under an hour (most often it only takes about 20 minutes).

The great thing about this is that people can Like your Facebook page RIGHT from your website! What I love about that is that you can keep people on your website (which is where you ultimately want them to be) and you can add new fans! It’s a win-win.

Tip #3: Add a Facebook button to your email signature. One of the best (and most under-utilized) pieces of your marketing real estate is your email signature. Think about it: How many times a day do you send out emails to people? Do you have a call to action in your signature? Do you encourage people to go connect with you on social sites? If not, then this is the FIRST tip you need to implement right now. It’s probably also the easiest out of all 3 tips in this article.
