If you’re a small or local business, you should definitely be using social media to reach your customers. Facebook Business Pages allow businesses to connect with their local community by sharing photos, videos, and posts. Recently, Facebook pushed a new update which gives businesses more flexibility with what content is shown to your visitors on your page. Facebook has created templates around seven main business categories. These templates include:
Applying a Facebook Business Page Template
If you have a business page, you can apply one of these templates by following these 4 simple steps:
- Go to your business page and click on “Settings” and then “Edit Page”. Here, you will see the templates option.
- Select “Edit” to see the list of options.
- Select the template most closely related to your business and then click “View Details”.
- Read about the details of that template and if it fits your business, click “Apply Template”.
Congratulations! Your business page is now updated and visitors will see the content that is most important to them!
When you make this change, you will also notice that your business page will have featured sections at the top of your timeline. These sections will change depending on the template you choose. The “Business Services” template, for example, will show the following:
- Reviews
- Photos
- Videos
- Posts
